DESCRIPTION

MYCOPOWER BIO MAITAKE

This Mycopower mushroom is a vegetarian and gluten-free food supplement and carries the European ECO BIO quality mark. Maitake is available in loose powder, powder capsules and as extract capsules.

Origin, growth and use of the Maitake mushroom
Worldwide, the Maitake is also known as Kumotake. The Maitake (Grifola frondosa) is native to China, northeastern Japan and North America. It grows in these areas at the foot of old deciduous trees, preferably near oaks, from which it feeds on the root wood. In Europe, Maitake is almost impossible to find in the wild, partly because its substrate has become so rare, because old oaks have also become a rarity in Europe. In Japan and China, it has been used as an edible and vital mushroom for more than 3000 years. However, it has only been cultivated commercially since the early 1980s, before which it was laboriously harvested by hand in the wild. Today, it is one of the most widely used mushrooms in Japanese cuisine due to its pleasant aroma, but it is also important as a vital mushroom in Asia.

The Maitake is one of the mushrooms that have been studied most intensively by scientists. The Maitake is one of the most important medicinal mushrooms that can be used medically. According to traditions, the mushroom used to be considered so precious that it was valued as much as silver. It is also a very popular edible mushroom with solid flesh and a specific smell.

Ingredients
The Maitake mushroom is one of the powerhouses among the vital mushrooms, as it contains a beautifully balanced mixture of vital substances in high concentration. In addition to riboflavin, niacin, thiamine, biotin, and folate, it contains many minerals, including zinc, iron, potassium, and magnesium. Particularly noteworthy about the maitake mushroom is its remarkably high content of the vitamin D precursor ergosterol and the mushroom's typical beta-glucan grifolan, a polysaccharide that has been the subject of scientific research for some time.

Maitake Powder Capsules
Conventional mushroom powder capsules. Each capsule contains 500mg of pure and natural Maitake powder. The mushroom body is gently ground into a fine powder. The grain size of Mycopower mushroom powder is less than 0.125 mm after processing and therefore has an exceptionally high quality and bioavailability. The finer the powder, the more intensive the bioavailability of the active ingredients.
