The ABM belongs to the family of Champignons (Agaricus) – the abbreviation stands for Agaricus Blazei Murill. It is both an edible mushroom and a so-called medicinal mushroom. This makes the ABM an important representative of functional foods. Parallel to its nutritional value in food, ABM is also attributed to have a supportive effect on health. This Mycopower mushroom is a vegetarian and gluten-free food supplement. Agaricus Blazei Murill is available in loose powder, powder capsules and as extract capsules.

Origin, growth and use of the Agaricus Blazei Murill mushroom

The ABM belongs to the family of Champignons (Agaricus) – the abbreviation stands for Agaricus Blazei Murill. This is evident from the white stem and the usually light brown, round cap. Colloquially, ABM is also known as "sun mushroom" and/or "life mushroom". In Brazil, it is even called "the mushroom of god". In China and Japan, the ABM mushroom is known as "himematsutake". As the scientific name Agaricus brasiliensis suggests, the ABM mushroom is originally at home in South America, or rather in the Brazilian rainforest. There, as on the entire South American continent, it is a popular edible mushroom and known for its slightly nutty flavor. After being collected exclusively in the wild for a long time, the ABM has been grown commercially since about the early 1990s. Like all mushrooms in the mushroom family, it can also be grown on substrate. In the meantime, the cultivation of the Agaricus has also spread to Asia.

Since the ABM was only discovered in the 1950s and scientific interest in the mushroom only arose in the 1980s, it is still relatively unknown outside of Asia and South America and is the youngest member of the Mycopower mushrooms. Parallel to its nutritional value in food, the Agaricus is also widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Especially in Asian countries, this mushroom is popular for this. Mycotherapists are happy to advise him for various purposes. This special mushroom is also a delicate edible mushroom.

Ingredients
The medicinal mushroom ABM is characterized by an exceptionally balanced ratio of valuable vitamins, minerals and amino acids and a particularly high proportion of polysaccharides, the highest among the vital mushrooms! It is particularly rich in beta-glucans and a special type of polysaccharides, which are found in a particularly easy-to-use form in the Agaricus extract. The high content of ergosterol, a precursor to vitamin D, is also worth mentioning in the ABM.
