DESCRIPTION

MYCOPOWER CORDYCEPS SINENSIS

This Mycopower mushroom is a vegetarian and gluten-free food supplement. Cordyceps Sinensis is available in loose powder, powder capsules and as extract capsules.

Origin, growth and use of the Cordyceps mushroom
The Cordyceps mushroom, in the sinensis variety, is found in the Tibetan highlands and rarely in adjacent areas of Bhutan, India and Nepal. They grow at an altitude of 3000 to 5000 meters. Mushrooms usually grow in symbiosis with other organisms, and the Cordyceps has chosen a particular type of caterpillar for this purpose. It grows parasitically in the caterpillar of a moth of the genus Thitarodes that lives in the soil. The fungi grow through it from the inside out, eventually forming fruiting bodies that usually grow to about twice the length of the host's body. The eight to 15 cm long, thin, brown caterpillar mushrooms owe their name on the one hand to their appearance and on the other hand to the fact that they actually need live caterpillars as hosts.

From April to June, the native foragers of the high mountains are busy carefully excavating the now completely decomposed larval bodies from the small above-ground pits. Because Cordyceps is a very expensive item and a status symbol in China, the mushroom season is an important source of income for the indigenous people. Due to its rarity and complicated harvest, the prices for real cordyceps mushrooms are even higher than those for truffles or caviar. A kilo of fruiting body currently costs up to 40,000 euros.

This mushroom is not organically available, as it is not possible to grow cordyceps in the classic sense. It must be collected by hand in the wild. To grow Cordyceps sinensis that does not require plundering the Tibetan highlands, a substrate is used that makes Cordyceps sinensis available. This substrate is organically made, which is why Cordyceps sinensis is now organically available.

The Cordyceps is highly valued in Asian folk medicine. Cordyceps is not only a popular edible mushroom there, it also plays a central role in Chinese medicine and is therefore one of the most beloved and most desirable beneficial mushrooms. The first written evidence of its use as a vital mushroom dates back to the 15th century, but it has probably been used for much longer. Even though there are not enough studies by Western standards, with each new study the incredible effects of these mushrooms are revealed. It is not for nothing that this mushroom falls under the doping law in sport horses!

Ingredients
In addition to numerous vitamins, minerals and trace elements, the Chinese caterpillar fungus also contains special amino acids such as cordycepine, ergosterol (a precursor to vitamin D) and L-tryptophan, as well as various peptides and glycoprotein. Particular scientific attention is paid to the beta-glucans in Cordyceps, which are typical of the fungus and whose positive physiological effects are currently being thoroughly investigated.
