DESCRIPTION

MYCOPOWER BIO COPRINUS COMATUS

This Mycopower mushroom is a vegetarian and gluten-free food supplement and carries the European ECO BIO quality mark. Coprinus is available in loose powder, powder capsules and as extract capsules.

Origin, growth and use of the Coprinus mushroom
The mushroom Coprinus comatus is found in both Europe and Asia, but is very rarely used in cooking in Europe. You probably know the white, almost cone-like appearance that quickly dissolves into a black liquid as soon as it gets too old. With us, the common name is scaly ink mushroom. Its slender, white cap, which can reach a height of five to ten centimetres, and its delicate, asparagus-like flavour also earned it the popular names asparagus mushroom and porcelain mint. In English-speaking countries, it is also known as "shaggy cap".

Note: The Coprinus comatus should not be confused with the very similar Falten-Tingling (Coprinus atramentarius). Although the latter is also edible in principle, it can have a slightly toxic effect in combination with alcoholic beverages

Coprinus is found throughout the Northern Hemisphere, but especially in Europe. It is a very common mushroom: it grows on roadsides and meadows, but also likes to poke its white head through the earth and on lawns in the middle of the city. It ripens between April and the end of November. The Coprinus cannot be kept in stock. Even with very young and fresh mushrooms, it is common for the cap to decompose shortly after harvest, leaving only the aforementioned black liquid. That is why this mushroom has also been given the name Ink Fungus. The Ink fungus cannot be grown commercially for this reason, although it is a tasty and highly edible mushroom. In the meantime, the Ink Fungus is increasingly being privately cultivated as an edible mushroom because it grows excellently on home, garden and kitchen cultivation substrate. So a fresh harvest is always possible. In addition, as an edible mushroom, the Coprinus contributes to a balanced diet because it is one of the few mushrooms that naturally contains vitamin C.

Ingredients
Coprinus is one of the most protein-rich mushrooms of the medicinal mushrooms. It contains vitamin C, which is a rarity in the mushroom world. In addition, it has a balanced content of all amino acids essential for the human body. Coprinus contains 20 different amino acids including; iron, magnesium and calcium and an above-average amount of potassium as well as manganese, niacin (vitamin B3), riboflavin (vitamin B2) and thiamine (vitamin B1) and at the same time Coprinus is low in sodium. In addition, the polysaccharide fucogalactan has been detected in this special asparagus mushroom. By combining important ingredients, Coprinus Comatus makes a valuable contribution to the daily diet.

Coprinus contains 20 amino acids, all of which are necessary for humans, and responsible for the rich content of potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, zinc, niacin (vitamin B3), riboflavin (vitamin B2) and thiamine (vitamin B1) and thus support health.

Coprinus powder capsules
Conventional mushroom powder capsules. Each capsule contains 500mg of pure and natural Coprinus powder. The mushroom body is gently ground into a fine powder. The grain size of Mycopower mushroom powder is less than 0.125 mm after processing and therefore has an exceptionally high quality and bioavailability. The finer the powder, the more intensive the bioavailability of the active ingredients.
