(Ulmus fulva)
250 gram is sufficient for 5 weeks for a dog
500 gram is sufficient for 5 weeks for a pony
1 kilo is sufficient for 5 weeks for a horse
- Horses: 10 to 20 grams daily
- Dogs: Small: ½ to 1 teaspoon : Medium: 1 to 1½ teaspoons : Large: 1 to 2 teaspoons
Slippery elm is rich in mucilage, it is soothing to the digestive system, supports mucus membrane health and is nutritive.
You can also use it external as a poultice because of its drawing properties. Just add some warm water to the powder until it goes slimy and add the paste to the area where its needed.
