DESCRIPTION

MYCOPOWER BIO CHAGA

The Chaga mushroom (pronounced Shaga) is mainly found in the forest areas of Russia, Poland and Scandinavia. It also grows occasionally in Canada and Japan, but is very rare in Central Europe. This mushroom prefers a cold environment. Here we can see it as black tubers on birches, where some tubers are more likely to be proliferations like the Chaga mushroom when looked closely. This Mycopower mushroom is a vegetarian and gluten-free food supplement and carries the European ECO BIO quality mark. Chaga is available in loose powder, powder capsules and as extract capsules.

Origin, growth and use of the Chaga mushroom
Innotus obliquus or Chaga is a special representative of the genus vitality mushrooms. For a long time, no attention was paid to the birch fungus, except in Eastern Europe. Especially in the traditional medical medicine of Russia, this mushroom, which is not edible, plays an important role. It is only in recent years that more and more people have become aware of this mysterious vitality mushroom and a book has even been written about the effects of this mushroom alone.

The inhabitants of Siberia have also been using Chaga tea as a dietary supplement for many centuries. In German-speaking countries, the Chaga or Tschaga mushroom is best known under the name "Schiefer Schillerporling". Other names, which are much rarer in Europe, include Fungus betulinus, Kabanoanatake, Hua Shugu (Bai Hua Rong) and Hua Jie Kong Jun.

It is very likely that many people have long since carelessly walked past this mushroom, preferably growing on birches. Chaga may be the "king of vital mushrooms," but its appearance doesn't necessarily suggest that: Growing on trees, the mushroom resembles spherical, brown to black, irregularly grooved bark. As the Chaga's age increases, the tubers of the Chaga become so dark that the impression is given that the tree has been burned in the affected areas. The Chaga mushroom is one of the few fungi that cannot be cultivated. Its occurrence is therefore limited to the wild. That's why our Mycopower Chaga comes from a pure and wild collection. Only Chaga tubers grown on birch trees are processed as a medicinal mushroom.

The Chaga mushroom prefers a cold environment. The mushroom is mainly found in the forest areas of Russia, Poland and Scandinavia. It also grows occasionally in Canada and Japan, but is very rare in Central Europe.

Chaga has no significance as an edible mushroom. However, in the areas where the Chaga is found, a dried and ground form of Chaga has been drunk as an infusion for centuries, as its beneficial properties were known there from an early age. The Mycopower BIO extract from Chaga fits with the traditional intake of Chaga as a tea because the extract powder is extracted from the mushroom powder with hot water extraction.

Ingredients of the Chaga mushroom
It is not without reason that the Chaga is also called the "king of medicinal mushrooms". This is because it contains a unique combination of different ingredients, including various polyphenols and polysaccharides, which are considered valuable antioxidants. Particularly noteworthy are the beta-glucans, which occur in high concentrations in Chaga. Overall, the antioxidants in Chaga have been found to be highly soluble in water, making them particularly readily available to the human organism. Various tannins, flavonoids and minerals – especially potassium, sodium and magnesium – make Chaga a powerhouse of vital substances. A special side effect of Chaga is the vital substance betulin, which the fungus supposedly synthesizes from its host tree, the birch. During the long growth period of the Chaga, the betulin, which is often the subject of scientific research in the form of betulinic acid, accumulates in the mushroom.
